2026 Books
Hey Friend!
Here is the complete list of books that I have read in 2026. I am including the star rating, the year it was published and also my notes about the book. I like including the date the book was published because I like to challenge myself with reading older books as well as new ones. Also, my notes come straight from my reading journal, so they will be short and my impression of the book when I finished it.
My star rating system:
★★★★★ Loved it! I probably had an emotional connection with this book. I might have cried or laughed out loud. This book make me feel something. I can't stop thinking about it.
★★★★☆ I really liked this book! I might have even loved it, but I didn't have an emotional connection with it. I would definitely recommend it!
★★★☆☆ It was fine. I enjoyed it enough to keep reading it but I didn't love it. I didn't really get into the story or connect with the characters. I maybe didn't care for the writing style. It just wasn't for me.
★★☆☆☆ I did not like this book. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't that great. It was probably boring and really cheesy. I probably read or listened to it really quickly.
★☆☆☆☆ I hated this book. I would have stopped reading, but my unhealthy habit is to finish everything I start. Even if I have to listen to it at triple speed.

- Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, 1990 ★★★★★ Better than the movie! And I loved the movie!
- Realm of Thieves by Karina Halle, 2025 ★★☆☆☆ Started off good and had potential. But there were too many tropes/too much going on. Insta lust.
- Blood and Roses by Callie Hart, 2026 ★☆☆☆☆ Spice was greater than plot. Don't think I will read this author again.
- Bullet Proof by K. M. Moronova, 2026 ★☆☆☆☆ It had promise, then it went down hill.
- The Escape Game by Marissa Meyer & Tamara Moss, 2026 ★★★★☆ This was really fun and entertaining! My only complaint is the couple things that were thrown in that didn't push the story forward.
- Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, 2007 ★★★★★ I love Bones! The perfect MMC! And Cat is great too!
- One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, 2008 ★★★★★ I love this series!
- At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost, 2008 ★★★★☆ The ending was not all that believable. It happened very quick for all that took place before it.

- The Lost World by Michael Crichton, 1995 ★★★★☆ Better than the movie. A lot going on. Ended kinda abruptly.
